- Arranging Tip: Amaranthus can be used as a line flower. It has a soft texture. The hanging varieties add a stunning dynamic to whimsical flower arrangements making it especially useful in cascading or waterfall designs. Add contrast of form by arranging these with smooth textured flowers like gerbera daisies or roses. The hanging varieties look stunning in tall vases, candelabras, large pedestals, or urns. The upright varieties of Amaranthus are useful in mixed bouquets because they add amazing texture and interest.
